Sizing:
Buying a wedding, bridesmaid, or special occasion gown from a bridal shop is not like buying regular clothes from a department store. Designers cut these gowns based on certain proportions, resulting in sizing that often runs small. Therefore, the average customer often has to order a gown one or two sizes larger than you normally would. Please remember, a size is just a number on a tag inside the gown. Nobody, but you, will ever know if your gown is a size 2 or 22. To ensure the best fit, it is wise to order the size that fits you now, not the size you'd like to be on your special day.

Alterations:
98% of all brides and party members need alterations. At LeeMar's, our seamstress works with you from beginning to end. She does the pinning, the sewing, and all final fittings. At larger stores, you have one person who does the pinning (often times not even a seamstress), and a completely different person that sews the gowns. When one person does both it ensures a better fit and less of your time wasted with appointments.

Ordering:
It is important to order your gowns, both wedding, bridesmaids, and mothers at least six months prior to the event. While it only takes most gowns 3 - 4 months to arrive, you want to ensure plenty of time for alterations. The motto we like to live by in the "bridal world" is "sooner is always better!" While that saying is definitely true, brides planning a wedding on short notice are not out of luck. Most companies offer a rush shipment and quick delivery on several styles. To order a gown, we require half down upon the order, and the other half at your first fitting. We also ofer a discounted price for the option of paying in full prior to ordering your gown.
